Although simple enough, this can be the mainstay of many meals.

Ingredients

2 Handfuls of rice per person eating.
1 pint of water
salt.

1. Bring water to the boil and add the rice and continue to boil.
2. After 5 minutes reduce temp. cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
3. Check level of water and add more if required, continue to simmer until soft.

Rice can be used to complete a number of meals; stir-frys and casseroles etc.
